1858 First exhibited at the National Academy of Design

1860 First exhibited at the Boston Athenaeum

1871 Toured Europe with Edward H. Elwell, editor of the Portland Transcript

1873 Joined the White Mountain Club of Portland

1876 Exhibited at the U.S. Centennial Exposition, Philadelphia

1882 Helped found the Portland Society of Art

1890 Produced two widely distributed illustrations of Crawford Notch for the Maine Central Railroad

1892 Moved to London, England, to be near daughter

1893 Exhibited at the World’s Columbian Exposition,Chicago, Illinois

1915 Died in London, England
